Le Mus\u00e9e Rodin<\/a>, or Mus\u00e9e Rodin, is one of Paris’s most popular tourist destinations. More than 700,000 people visit the museum every year to see Auguste Rodin’s world-famous sculptures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The museum is in the 7th arrondissement, near the Invalides<\/a> and the Eiffel Tower. It is easy to reach by public transportation, and there are plenty of things to do in the area around it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Histoire du Mus\u00e9e Rodin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Rodin Museum was founded in 1919, just two years after Auguste Rodin’s death. The museum was created to house the artist’s sculptures, drawings, and prints collection. Today, the museum has one of the largest collections of Rodin’s significant creations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adam<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

L'Adam d'Auguste Rodin est l'une des sculptures et chefs-d'\u0153uvre en bronze conserv\u00e9s au mus\u00e9e Rodin. La statue est une repr\u00e9sentation du premier homme sur terre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aurore<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Rodin’s artworks of people close to him, such as Farewell (1898) and France (1904), were allegorical in depth. Both were based on the Mask of Camille Claudel. Aurora is an excellent example of how Rodin did this, and it is one of his most famous works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clotho de Camille Claudel<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Claudel was an extremely talented sculptor, and many believe that her work was even more innovative than Rodin’s. One of her most famous sculptures is Clotho, which she created inspired by Greco-Roman mythology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

T\u00eate d'Apollon par Antoine Bourdelle<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

La T\u00eate d'Apollon, sculpture embl\u00e9matique d'Antoine Bourdelle, est expos\u00e9e dans le jardin du mus\u00e9e Rodin. Bourdelle a cr\u00e9\u00e9 la sculpture de 1900 \u00e0 1909 et elle est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme l'un de ses chefs-d'\u0153uvre. La t\u00eate d'Apollon est une sculpture de la t\u00eate du dieu grec Apollon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

P\u00e8re Tanguy de Vincent Van Gogh<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

P\u00e8re Tanguy by Vincent Van Gogh depicts an older man named Julien Tanguy. P\u00e8re Tanguy was a Parisian paint dealer close to Van Gogh and his brother Theo. The painting was created in the 1880s and is currently displayed at the Rodin Museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Femme tourne le dos au spectateur et est en train de brosser ses cheveux longs. Ce tableau est particulier en raison de l'attention aux d\u00e9tails que Carri\u00e8re a port\u00e9e aux coups de pinceau et aux jeux d'ombre et de lumi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Se rendre au Mus\u00e9e Rodin est facile. Le plus proche station de m\u00e9tro<\/a>  est la gare Saint-Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier et Varenne Arrondissement : 7eme, 77 Rue de Varenne. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re coming from the airport, you can take the RER B train to Invalides. Several bus lines stop near the museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
