Summer French Immersion: Finding the Perfect Program in Paris

By Black Bear Media mars 11, 2026 (Updated juin 29, 2026)

Bonjour, fellow language enthusiasts! 🌍 This summer, I’m excited to share that my two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, are eager to dive into learning French.

We’re looking for an immersive program in Paris, ideally a half-day session throughout the month of August. The challenge? Finding the right spot that fits our needs.

Bustling Paris street with traffic, lined by green trees, leads to the Arc de Triomphe under a blue sky. The scene conveys energy and iconic urban life.

I’ve done some digging into the Alliance Française, but honestly, the reviews are a bit of a mixed bag. I want my kiddos to have an amazing experience, not just be lost in translation! If any of you have personal recommendations for French learning programs in Paris, I’d love to hear your insights.

An added bonus would be a daily tutor option! Their dad and grandparents speak French, so they have a bit of a foundation, but I plan to enroll them at the beginner level to ensure they don’t feel overwhelmed (or worse, discouraged).

Oh, and here’s the kicker: I’m also hoping to find a program for myself! I’m at an intermediate level, and the idea of honing my skills in the coeur de paris while my kids learn sounds pretty dreamy, right?

If you all have any suggestions or have been through something similar, please drop your thoughts in the comments. Let’s get this language journey rolling! Merci beaucoup in advance! 🎉
