Planning Family Fun: Paris vs. London for Your 7-Night Adventure!

By Paris Top Ten février 27, 2026

Hello all! Exciting times ahead! You’re about to embark on a week-long adventure in London and Paris with your husband and two energetic kids (ages 8 and 10)!

Who wouldn’t be thrilled about exploring two of the most iconic cities in Europe? But with only 7 nights to split between these fabulous destinations, it’s crucial to plan wisely to make the most out of your trip. Both cities offer amazing attractions and experiences for families, but how do you decide where to spend more of your precious time?

London: A Land of Wonder

Let’s start with London. It’s packed with quintessential sights that will leave your kids buzzing with excitement.

From the majestic Le palais de Buckingham to the enchanting Harry Potter Studio Tour, there’s no shortage of adventure. If your kids are interested in history, the British Museum boasts treasures that’ll captivate their imaginations. Plus, you can’t forget about all the parks—Hyde Park is perfect for a bit of playtime!

With that in mind, I’d recommend spending about 4 nights in London. This way, you can take your time soaking in the sights, visiting kid-friendly attractions like the London Eye, and indulging in some British fish and chips. Don’t forget to factor in time for shopping and maybe a West End show; there’s nothing like the thrill of live theater!

Now, let’s hop over to Paris! Ah, the city of love— and chocolate croissants! Paris has its own unique charm and is crammed with delightful activities for kids.

Imagine visiting the tour Eiffel, exploring le Louvre, or even spending a day at Disneyland Paris. Your children will love the magic that the city unfolds!

Given the enchanting options Paris offers, I’d suggest spending the remaining 3 nights there. It’s a fantastic duration to explore without feeling rushed. Plus, the relaxed vibe of the French capital might be just what you need after the hustle and bustle of London!

The Perfect Balance

So to recap, a 4-night stay in London followed by 3 nights in Paris seems like a perfect balance. Each city brings something unique to the table, and this way, you won’t miss out on any major attractions that both cities have to offer.

As you start booking your hotels, I’d recommend looking for spots close to public transport in both cities to make it easier to maneuver with the kids. And don’t forget to have a little downtime—kids (and parents!) need to recharge as you explore!

Happy travels and enjoy every moment of your incredible family adventure! You’re going to make memories that will last a lifetime!
