Hello art lovers! I’m super excited to share that I’m about to dive into the world of French art and culture by signing up for a Louvre membership, or as they call it, Amis du Louvre. Now, before I get ahead of myself and just click that shiny ‘Register’ button online, I’ve been pondering a few things about the sign-up process that I wanted to toss out there for anyone who’s been through it.

First off, I’m curious about the in-person experience. If I decide to visit the museum to sign up, will I walk away with a membership packet full of art goodies and—fingers crossed—a physical card right then and there? There’s something a bit special about having that tangible card, right? It feels like an official VIP pass to one of the world’s greatest museums!
On the flip side, registering online could be just as convenient. I imagine I’d get access to a digital card or membership number right away, which is definitely appealing. But here’s where my mind starts wandering—what about those discounts at other attractions that are supposed to come with the Amis du Louvre membership? Will I be able to snag those deals smoothly without a physical card? Or could it be a bit of a hassle?

So, if anyone out there has firsthand experience with signing up in-person versus online, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Was it worth it to do it face-to-face, or did the online route make things easier? Any tips for making the most out of this membership? I’m all ears!
Many thanks in advance for your help, and here’s to diving into all things Louvre! 🎨✨
