Hey there, fellow travel enthusiasts! So, I’ve got a little conundrum that I bet many of you can relate to: how to make the most of a whirlwind family trip to Normandy!

My family and I are gearing up for an exciting journey to France, and we’re particularly focused on exploring Normandy. For us, it’s extra special because my husband is a veteran who served with the Second Infantry Division. It’s not just a trip; it’s a meaningful pilgrimage for our family.

We’ll land in Paris bright and early on Saturday at 8 AM, and we hear the trip to Normandy is about a 3-hour drive. That leaves us a tight window to make everything happen!

Our dream? To find a private or flexible tour on Sunday that will allow us to explore the sites and honor the memories that resonate so deeply with us.

We’re looking for recommendations! Have any of you stumbled upon a great private tour company that offers Sunday excursions? Or maybe there’s a flexible Saturday option that could accommodate our late arrival?

We’re eager to dive deep into the history, see the beaches, and connect with the stories that shaped our world. If you’ve been in a similar situation or have insights into tour groups that cater to families with veterans, we are all ears!

Drop your suggestions below, and let’s make this happen! Here’s to turning our Normandy dreams into reality. Cheers!
