Hey there, fellow travelers! So, you’ve just landed in the City of Light, and you’re already dreaming of the sunny shores of the French Riviera. Sounds like a fantastic trip in the making!

I recently got a message from a reader pondering the idea of flying down to Nice for a couple of days after spending a week in Paris. Having been to Paris twice myself, I totally understand the allure of extending your adventure, especially when you have a partner who is experiencing it all for the first time.

Let’s break down this side trip idea. First off, Nice is a gem. It’s a beautiful city with stunning beaches, vibrant markets, and delicious food.

Imagine soaking in the sun, sipping a chilled rosé, and strolling along the Promenade des Anglais. Not a bad way to wrap up a week in France, right?

But I know what you might be thinking: the travel logistics. Yes, flying from Paris to Nice isn’t exactly a hop, skip, and a jump.

You’ll find yourself juggling flight times, airport transfers, and accommodation. But hear me out: If you can snag a morning flight to Nice and return to Paris the day before your departure, it might just be worth it.

If you do decide to go for it, explore a little beyond Nice! You’ve got so many nearby towns to visit, like Cannes or Antibes. These places are super charming and showcase the best of the Riviera. Plus, you can squeeze in some picturesque spots for those Instagrammable moments with your girlfriend!

That said, if you’re looking for more of a relaxed vibe to end your trip, you might consider soaking up more of Paris and exploring some of its hidden gems as well. Either way, you can’t go wrong. Just make sure you balance your desire for adventure with the need to enjoy the time you have.

So, should you take that leap and fly down to Nice? If you’re both up for a bit of adventure and the chance to explore, I say go for it!

Just remember to keep your itinerary flexible so you can soak in as much of the Riviera magic as possible before heading home. Happy travels, and may your journey be full of great food, delightful sights, and unforgettable moments!
