Hey there, fellow Paris lovers! As the flowers start blooming and the sun shines a little brighter, it’s that magical time of year again—picnic season! If you’re planning a spring escape with friends, there’s no better way to spend a sunny day in Paris than lounging on the grass with good food and great company. The City of Light has no shortage of fabulous spots perfect for your next picnic adventure. Let’s dive into some of my favorite recommendations!

1. Bois de Boulogne

This massive park is an oasis on the western edge of the city. With sprawling lawns, beautiful lakes, and plenty of shaded spots, it’s easy to find a perfect picnic spot! Pack some sandwiches, a bottle of wine, and enjoy the serene environment. Bonus points if you bring a Frisbee or a paddleboat to make the day even more fun.

2. Parc des Buttes-Chaumont

Nestled in the 19th arrondissement, this park is a hidden gem. With its hilly terrain, waterfalls, and the stunning Temple de la Sibylle, it offers a unique backdrop for your picnic.

Grab some pastries from a nearby boulangerie, find a cozy patch of grass, and soak up the incredible views of the city. Less crowded than other parks, it’s perfect for a chill day out.

3. Jardin des Tuileries

For the classic Parisian vibes, you can’t beat the Tuileries. Just a stone’s throw from the Louvre, this formal garden is ideal for those who want to enjoy a bit of elegance alongside their meal.

While you may need to arrive early to snag a good spot, enjoying a picnic surrounded by meticulously manicured gardens is well worth the effort. Don’t forget to bring a nice blanket and perhaps some local cheese and a baguette!

Who can resist the charm of the Luxembourg Gardens? This is the quintessential Parisian picnic spot, and for good reason.

With its stunning flowerbeds, grand fountains, and lush greenery, it’s a magical place to spend an afternoon. Bring a classic French picnic (think charcuterie and some fresh fruit) and relax on one of the many chairs scattered throughout the gardens.
