Benoit Paris is a restaurants restaurant in the Array arrondissement of Paris.

Benoit is a historic Parisian bistro in the 4th arrondissement, at 20 Rue Saint-Martin near the Centre Pompidou and Les Halles. Open since 1912 and now part of Alain Ducasse’s group, it is the only traditional bistro in the city to hold a Michelin star — a living monument to old-school French cooking and service.

What to expect at Benoit

The room is gloriously period — brass, mirrors, banquettes and white-jacketed waiters — and the menu is a roll-call of bistro grandeur: pâté en croûte, snails, cassoulet, slow-cooked classics and a famously decadent profiterole finish. Ducasse’s kitchen brings precision and top produce to dishes that remain reassuringly traditional. It is polished and a touch pricey for a bistro, but the setting and pedigree justify it.
